In its opening, The 7th Guest: Remastered tells us about a vagabond named Henry Stauf. He wanders from town to town, robbing gas stations and grocery stores to survive. One night, Stauf dreamed of a doll, which he considered a spiritual gift. He then began meticulously carving a doll, refining its face until it looked like a perfect replica of the doll that had appeared in his dream.
After Stauf’s success, he went to a bar, and coincidentally, the bar owner’s daughter took a liking to his strange doll. Stauf gave the doll to the bar owner, and he was allowed to eat and stay at the bar. That same night, Stauf had another dream. This time, a jigsaw puzzle appeared in his dream. Stauf immediately created the puzzle as in his dream, and miraculously, everyone wanted to buy his product.
Stauf’s mystery toy
The mysterious story in The 7th Guest: Remastered continues with Stauf’s life-changing transformation. All the children, boys and girls, from any town around where Stauf lives, want his toys. So, he opens a toy shop. People buy his toys, declaring, “Stauf’s toys are one-of-a-kind”. But then, one day, a mysterious epidemic strikes. Children in the towns become infected and die one by one. As life slowly slips away, the children cling tightly to Stauf’s toys.
Stauf’s final dream was a mansion. The mansion in his dream, large and luxurious, was destined for Stauf – now a wealthy toy manufacturer. How do you play The 7th Guest: Remastered?
In The 7th Guest: Remastered, you play as a mysterious spirit known as Ego. Ego wanders through Stauf Castle, witnessing the spirits of six other individuals reenacting horrific events from the past. The game is a puzzle game with a touch-and-point interaction style. You can move to a specific location or room by tapping on that spot on the screen. Interactions with objects and puzzle mechanisms are also performed similarly.
