Introduce about Grand War 4: Medieval Strategy
Tactics in Grand War 4: Medieval Strategy
The game screen in Grand War 4: Medieval Strategy is divided into squares across the map. The movement ability and attack range of the troops depend on the squares in the game screen. The gameplay of Grand War 4: Medieval Strategy is turn-based strategy. When it is your turn, each army you control can move once and attack or use skills once. That means if you attack, you will not be able to use the skills of that army in the current turn and vice versa. The above rules also apply to the opponent’s army.
An army in Grand War 4: Medieval Strategy is divided into 3 types: Infantry, Cavalry and Archer. Each army is commanded by a hero or an officer, benefiting from the commander’s stats, active and passive skills.
The difference between infantry, cavalry and archers
Infantry is the most common and versatile unit in Grand War 4: Medieval Strategy. Infantry has medium movement range, medium defense, and a variety of weapons. Most infantry types attack in close combat. Some infantry types can attack from a distance, such as the Javelin.
Cavalry in Grand War 4: Medieval Strategy has the longest range and the highest defense. Cavalry can use some of the same weapons as infantry and benefit from the attributes of that weapon.
Gunners have the same movement range as infantry, but the weakest defense of the three types. Gunners are capable of attacking from a distance, with increased movement range if passing through dense forest or valleys.
Develop troops in the game
In addition to the armies commanded by the heroes that appear at the beginning of the level, you can recruit more troops from the buildings you conquer. Each recruitment costs a certain amount of gold bars (a resource that can only be used in the level).
There are three types of buildings in Grand War 4: Medieval Strategy: camps, towns, and mines. Camps are used to recruit troops. Towns can recruit troops and give you a small amount of gold each turn. Gold mines cannot recruit troops, but they give you a lot of gold.
Each barracks or town building allows you to recruit troops 4 times per turn (as long as you have enough gold bars). The troops you recruit cannot move or attack during that turn and must wait until the next turn to perform actions.
Your hero in Grand War 4: Medieval Strategy
Heroes are the central element in the gameplay in Grand War 4: Medieval Strategy and come in two types. Troops are commanded by heroes who are very powerful and have a special skill. You need to collect heroes outside the gameplay, from different sources such as quest rewards, Recruit feature.
During the preparation phase before the start of the game, you need to appoint heroes to the formation, minimum 1 hero and maximum 5 heroes. The hero interface card has a national icon displayed on the left, under the level box. If you appoint heroes with a relationship with each other, your entire army will receive a stat increase. The conditions and types of stat increases are listed in the “Biography” section of each hero.
Officers in Grand War 4: Medieval Strategy
Officers appear in the game by recruiting troops in the barracks or towns that you conquer. You own officers right from the beginning of the game, without using the “recruitment” feature outside the interface like heroes. Officers have the same strength as an elite hero, but do not have available skills, cannot directly upgrade levels or star levels.
The only way to upgrade your officers’ power is to unlock branches in the Generals section of the Tech feature interface. These branches increase the officer’s level, star level, and stats instantly, and increase the hero’s level cap.
Troops commanded by officers are likely to appear in large numbers thanks to the in-game recruitment feature, from barracks and towns. This means that you can have up to 20 troops commanded by officers, which is much more than the army of heroes. So, although the ability to upgrade is very limited, officers are still a very influential factor in the stages of Grand War 4: Medieval Strategy.
