Sorry! World APK is a board strategy game, developed and published by Gameberry Labs on mobile platforms. The game is built on a famous board game called Sorry!.

Introduce about Sorry! World

Gameplay

Unlike the original Sorry! game, Sorry! World has many changes and simplifications in gameplay. A game in Sorry! World – Board game has only two players instead of the maximum of 4 players compared to the original game. Each player in Sorry! World – Board game can only draw one card per turn, instead of being able to draw many cards at the beginning of the game and use them to perform actions each turn like the original game.

Each turn, a player draws a card and moves a piece clockwise on the board. If a player draws a minus card, he or she must move a piece backward, which is counterclockwise. When a piece reaches its destination, it must turn to the destination square and cannot continue in the circle. A piece can only move to the destination square if its move rights are equal to the distance from the destination square.

The movement of a piece

You can move any piece on the board, as long as its destination, according to the value of the card you drew, is valid. You cannot refuse to move if there is at least one piece that can be moved legally. In case there is no piece that can be moved according to the value on the card, Sorry! World – Board game will automatically skip that turn for you.

Kick and be kicked

This is a very cool element in Sorry! World – Board game, as well as in the original Sorry! game. When a piece’s destination according to its card value coincides with the position of another player’s piece, it will knock that piece off and take over the position (get kicked). The kicked piece will immediately return to the starting circle.

Sorry! World – Board game also has a feature of using a slider to kick opponent’s pieces, which will be mentioned below.

Overall layout of the board

The game board in Sorry! World – Board game is a square, surrounded by 40 squares, usually colored white. Inside the closed square created by the white squares are the starting circle, the finish circle – the finish square and the original deck. Above the white squares are 8 areas called Slider.

Starting and finishing laps

A player’s starting circle is placed next to the 5th square from the left corner of that player. At the start of the game, your 3 pieces will be placed on the starting circle. When a player’s pieces are kicked, they will return to the starting circle, regardless of where they were previously.

The finish line is connected by 4 finish squares, starting from the 3rd square from the left corner of each player. When reaching this position, the chess pieces must move to the finish squares, finally the finish line. A piece that reaches the finish square is considered to have completed its mission. The player who gets all of his pieces to the finish square first immediately wins the Sorry! World – Board game.

Slider in Sorry! World – Board game

On the Sorry! World – Board Game board, there are 8 areas called conveyor belts. Each conveyor belt has a start, 2 middle, and end spaces. When a piece whose card value is the start of the conveyor belt, it immediately activates the conveyor belt, sliding 3 more spaces to the end space. If a piece lands on a space on the conveyor belt that is not the start, the conveyor belt does not activate and nothing happens.

The conveyor belts in Sorry! World – Board Game are only activated by pieces that match the color of the conveyor belt. The two conveyor belts on the right side of the board from your perspective can be activated by pieces you control. The two conveyor belts on the opposite side belong to your opponent. The four conveyor belts at the top and bottom of the board are dual-colored, meaning they can be activated by pieces from both players.

Note that a piece sliding on a conveyor belt can kick all other pieces lying on the squares of that conveyor belt, regardless of whether the pieces are of the same color or not.

Cards in Sorry! World – Board game

Sorry! World – Board game has a total of 13 cards, all cards have instructions in numbers and letters, you just need to move the pieces according to the instructions of the card. However, there are some more complicated double cards as follows:

  • Split = 7/Move +7: Move two pieces so that their total moves equal 7 or move one piece 7 steps. If one piece reaches the finish line, the remaining number of moves must be moved by another piece.
  • Move -1/Move +10: Choose one of two ways to move – back 1 step or forward 10 steps. If either way is invalid by any piece, the other way must be used.
  • Swap/Move +11: Swap one of your pieces with an opponent’s piece or move forward 11 steps. Note that only pieces on white squares on the board can be swapped.
  • Sorry!/Move +4: Move a piece from the starting circle to the opponent’s piece’s position, then kick it; or move forward 4 steps. Note that your piece must be on the starting circle and the target must be on a white square. If you don’t have any pieces on the starting square or your opponent doesn’t have any pieces on the white square, you are forced to use advance 4 steps.
